Nelson Mandela’s 22m Rand property distributed among heirs

The 22 million Rand property of late South African leader Nelson Mandela has been distributed among the heirs that including his driver, his female secretary, and many educational institutions.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Nelson Mandela had made will before his death to make his driver, his female secretary, and many educational institutions where he studied recipients of his assets. Mike Maponya, who served Nelson Mandela as driver for 23 years, received 50,000 Rands at the symbolic distribution ceremony of Mandela’s assets in Johannesburg. A similar amount of money was paid to Mandela’s female secretary Zelda la Grange.

As per Mandela’s will money was also paid to Clarkebury Senior Secondary School, Qunu High School, Fort Hare University, Orlando West High School and the University of Witwatersrand.

There is some issues over some of Mandela’s assets including his house in southern province Kab whose ownership is being claimed by Mandela’s first wife Winnie Madikizela.
