ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power and Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has started an investigation against K-electric for its negligence during the two spells of heavy downpour in Karachi.
A team consisting up of senior officers of NEPRA has been designated which will complete its inquiry in a 15-day period.
It is pertinent to mention here as many as 26 people were lost their lives in the recent rainy season in Karachi which included children while many sacrificial animals were also killed in electrocution in different localities throughout the metropolis.
Besides, the electricity has been remained off for three days in various areas during the rains and no response was given on the K-electric helplines.
