New Group Involved in Recent Wave of Terrorism in Karachi

Karachi (July 22, 2017): A new terrorist groups is involved in the recent wave of terrorism including, investigators investigation the recent incident revealed.

According to sources, during investigation of the recent incidents of terrorism in Karachi the investigators have found a new group was involved in the incident.

They said that the new group named as Ansar Sharia has emerged recently.

The group is suspected to be involved in yesterday attack on police mobile in Korangi area, wherein three cops including an ASI were martyred.

They added that the group is comprised dissenters from Al-Qaeda in Subcontinent, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, TTP and Daesh.

They added that the group is influenced by al-Qaeda ideology.

Security sources said that the group was active in Karachi and Balochistan.  The first attack the group carried out this year at a mobile franchise in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

They added that a security guard, whose uniform was similar to that of police, was killed by the group.

The group carried out it second attack near Baloch Pul on April 5, wherein a retired colonel of Pakistan Army was targeted by armed motorcyclists.

The terrorist after killing Col. Tahir had taken his laptop along with them.

On May 20, the group carried out another attack in Bahaderabad area wherein two policemen were killed and another was injured. The group also killed four policemen in Site area during Ramzan when  they were sitting at a hotel for Iftar.

They added that the group also carried out a terrorist attack in Mastung Balochistan.  Despite being active since February this year, no member of the group has so far been arrested by law enforcer.
