ISLAMABAD: The newly elected office bearers of Parliamentary Reporters Association (PRA) met with President Arif Alvi in President House on Thursday.
President felicitated them over their success in parliamentary reporters election.
Talking on the occasion, President Alvi said that the press gallery is the vital part of the parliament and PRA is playing a key role to run the affairs of the parliament.
Lauding the coverage of parliament sessions by PRA members, President said that the media is also passing through evolution period as economic pressures being increased on print media worldwide as social media rapidly getting popularity.
Speaking on the occasion, PRA President Behzad Saleem apprised the president of various problems of journalists. The president assured to give special attention to resolve these problems.
Secretary Information Zahida Parveen also apprised the president about steps taken for the resolution of the problems of journalists.
