Nine Teams Confirmed For Playing 2019 Cricket World Cup

DUBAI: As many as nine teams have been confirmed for playing upcoming world cup 2019.

International Cricket Council (ICC) has set a deadline of April 30 for the announcement of team squads while nine teams have been confirmed so far.

New Zealand team lead by Kane Williamson was the first team announcing the team squad while West Indies still have to announce its team.

As per the ICC, rule changes could be made in the announced squad till May 30 before the warm-up matches. After that, any change can only be made with the approval of the ICC technical committee.

The World Cup will be played on 11 venues of England and Wales from May 30 to July 14. 10 teams in the 46-days tournament will fight for the trophy in the 48 matches.

Only five-time winner Australia will defend the honor in the lead role of Aeron Finch.

The mega event is being played on the style of the 1992 world cup, according to which every team will play one match against each other in the group. The four best teams will play a semi-final and the final will be played.
