Islamabad (October 12, 2017): Former Interior Minister and senior PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has taken strong exception of the Foreign Minister statement regarding joint operation against Haqqani Network.
Addressing a press conference, Nisar said that the statement regarding joint operation was disturbing. He said that Pakistan Army was capable of carrying out any operation inside the country.
Nisar also expressed concerns over statements of some party leaders against judiciary. He added that confrontation with judiciary or any institution was neither in the interests of the party nor country.

He opined that in civilized societies cases are fought in the courts. The former interior minister said that Punjab Chief Minister and Prime Minister had also stated that confrontation with institutions was not their policy.
He said that the policy of no confrontation was also PML-N policy. He urged PM to restrain his ministers from resorting to mere giving statement.
To a question he said that who was restraining the government or ministers from putting own house in order, saying that its better to do practical work instead of sloganeering.
Regarding the purported list of IB regarding alleged links of parliamentarians with terrorists, he said that as per his investigation and knowledge the list was fake.
Nisar said that there was no groupings in PML-N and the party was united.
To a question about Zardari, he said that as he had come to know Zardari evaded a question about him (Nisar) so he would also not respond any questions about Zardari.
