Islamabad (July 24, 2017): Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is likely to announce his resignation as Interior Minister in today’s press conference.
Sources claimed that Nisar had decided in principle to resign as Interior Minister.
The minister, who has developed differences with party leadership over handling of Panamagate issue and has been inactive for last few weeks, is going to address a press conference today.
He is likely to shed lights on the reservations and causes of differences with party leadership.
Though, the press conference was scheduled for Sunday, but it was postponed at eleventh hours.’
The reason was the postponement was cited as backache the minister is suffering from.
Nisar was absent from several key Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) meetings recently as the party deliberated to chalk out a strategy pertaining to the Panama Papers case.
