Lahore (July 24, 2017): Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar has postponed his much awaited press conference due to Lahore Blast today.
Discussing the delay in his press conference, Nisar said, “I have been ill but I would rather go back today, than discuss politics while a tragedy has hit the country.”

He continued: “I was bedridden for the past two days and saw a number of speculations in the media about my condition. I would like for you all to keep those at bay and focus on the matter at hand — the Lahore blast.”
“I postpone press conference after the regretful incident in Lahore,” Chaudhary Nisar said while addressing press conference in Lahore .
He said that he summoned report in next 24 hours from law enforcement agencies regarding Lahore blast and will focus on the issue.
” I also summoned the report of the conduct done by FIA personnel with the journalists ,” Chaudhary Nisar siad.
Nisar said that the press conference was most important, however after the tragic incident, Lahore blast in which 16 people killed, it would be inappropriate to talk over the political issues.

It is pertinent here to mention that after Nisar earlier announced to exchange thoughts on his ongoing rift with the party, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and another important member reached Punjab House to appease the displeased minister.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members told the interior minister that he is an asset of the party, requested him to not hold the presser and one federal minister even beseeched Ch Nisar by joining both hands in front of him.
Chaudhry Nisar told PML-N leaders that he is still bound to party discipline, and any sort of irresponsible behavior or statement should not be expected from him during the press conference, however, he possesses the right to express his complains.

On Sunday, the interior minister postponed a press conference that was to address rumours regarding a reported conflict with the PML-N leadership.
Nisar has been repeatedly absent from meetings between PML-N leadership to discuss the party’s strategy following the joint investigation team’s (JIT) report probing PM Sharif and his family’s foreign business dealings.
However, the interior minister had attended a meeting of the federal cabinet on July 13 where members of the cabinet reposed confidence in the PM’s leadership. But he skipped two important meetings of the PML-N after that.
While many members of the cabinet kept on issuing vociferous statements against the JIT constituted in the Panama Papers case and some even indirectly uttered remarks against the judiciary, Chaudhry Nisar was not among the crowd as he chose to remain silent on the issue at the height of the controversy.
Earlier PM house issued an statement regarding Nisar Resignation rumors and dismissed them.

In a statement PM House Spokesperson Mussadiq Malik said, “Chaudhry Nisar is a loyal friend and longtime aide of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.”
The PML-N is a democratic party and difference of opinion is everyone’s right, he said, adding that Chaudhry is intact with the party and the PM and will remain so.
Whatever Chaudhry Nisar speaks, he speaks in favour of party, PM and the government.
The spokesman also rejected speculations, saying Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will not resign what may come.
Chaudhry Nisar, who is said to be angry with party over Panama papers issue, is holding much-awaited press conference today (Monday) in which he is likely to part his ways.
