Islamabad (August 13, 2018): Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Prime Minister-in-waiting Imran Khan on Monday said that he has not decided yet the party candidate for the the CM Punjab slot.
He was conversing with reporters outside the Parliament after taking oath as member of National Assembly.
“Is it a difficult decision?” one of the journalists asked, to which Imran responded with a smile and no comment.
The PTI chief also expressed his resolve to celebrate this Independence Day with the utmost enthusiasm.
“I will celebrate the Independence Day [tomorrow] with the utmost [fervour],” he told reporters.Imran Khan about the controversial remarks of the chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, about Independence Day, said this time August 14 will be celebrated more vigorously.
Imran, widely touted to be the country’s next prime minister, was sworn in as MNA during the inaugural session of the 15th National Assembly today, which marked the third consecutive democratic transfer of power in the country.
Earlier on Friday, Imran urged the nation to celebrate August 14 with full fervour, “especially as we are now moving towards Naya Pakistan & reclaiming Jinnah’s vision InshaAllah,” he had tweeted.
It is to be mentioned here that outgoing NA speaker Ayaz Sadiq administered oath to 331 MNAs-elect in the 342-member house during 15th session.

PM To Be Elected On August 17
The election of the Prime Minister is conditional on the submission of their nomination papers on August 16, if it is done as per schedule, would pave the way for the process to be completed by the evening on the same day. Otherwise, the election will be done on the morning of August 17.
The Prime Minister-elect’s oath-taking ceremony is slated for August 18, at the President House.Imran Urges To Celebrate Independence Day With Fervour
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and prime minister-in-waiting Imran Khan stressed the nation to celebrate the Independence Day with full fervour and zeal.
In a tweet, Imran Khan said, “I want all Pakistanis to celebrate 14th August, our Independence Day, with full fervour.”
Imran Khan went on to say, “We are now moving towards Naya Pakistan and reclaiming the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.”

Calling overseas Pakistanis, Imran said, “There is a good news for overseas Pakistanis as PTI efforts to get their right to exercise vote has been yielded as the apex court had ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take appropriate steps to give right of vote cast to overseas Pakistanis.”
