LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Panama Papers’ issue is in Supreme Court, and there is no justification for shutting down Islamabad over the issue.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Motor Vehicle Registration System in Lahore, Shahbaz Sharif said that Prime Minister had presented himself for accountability over Panama issue. Addressing Imran Khan directly, the CM said that if he wanted to have rule of law in the country then he must accept the forum of Supreme Court, which is sized with Panama issue at present.
Earlier at a separate meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said the enforcement of Land Record Management Information System was a revolutionary step to eliminate old Patwari culture across the province.
He was addressing a high-level meeting via video link in Lahore. The chief minister expressed resentment over giving additional charge to the Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars for land record centers and ordered to cancel the notification.
He advised to take immediate measures for the establishment of Land Record Authority and finalize the draft of law.
