Quetta (July 13, 2017): Chief of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Mahmood Khan Achakzai on Thursday resolved that they would not allow anyone to send the democratic set up packing.
Addressing a press conference here at provincial capital, Achakzai said that the PkMAP alliance with PML-N was for democracy.
He said that in the prevailing situation no one was more popular leader than Nawaz Sharif. Terming corruption the most dangerous ill Pakistan is suffering from, the Pashtun national leader called for calling an All Parties Conference (APC) over it.
But he said that if anyone was targeted in the garb of corruption it would be unfortunate. He added that if JIT wanted to eliminate corruption from the country it was good. “But, till today, corruption was not defined till today. Changing someone loyalty is also a form of corruption,” he opined.
He added that in the past sit-ins were staged in Islamabad without any justification. The participations of the sit-in attacked on Parliament, barged into Parliament house and set up tent houses there, he added.
PkMAP chief said that the country could not afford a minor mistake at this critical juncture.
