No Room for Narrative of Hate, Torture: Dr Firdous

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that whenever any kind of narrative carrying the content of hate and torture witnessed the law will deal it with iron hands.

Addressing press conference in Islamabad, she said that PM Imran chaired a meeting regarding control of smuggling and the measures to combat it have come under discussion.

“The meeting has decided to improve the system of check posts in tribal belt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and strategy evolved to make a comprehensive system to coordinate al the personnel who are performing duty on the check posts,” she said adding that PM has decided to form custom authority in place of custom directorate and also urged the use of modern technology to compile data.

The special assistant said that meeting has also had the view that the all check posts located at the borders of Iran and Afghanistan will be coordinated as the smuggling is causing loss of millions of rupees to the national exchequer.

Commenting over the Kamyab Nojwan program, which was launched by PM today, said the youth will be provided with interest-free loans and on easy terms under the program. She said an amount of one hundred billion rupees has been earmarked for this purpose.

The Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting urged the youth to emerge as a vanguard of the Prime Minister against the exploitation system and convey the message of change in every nook and cranny of the country.
