No target killing during last few days: IG Sindh

KARACHI: Inspector General (IG) Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali once again claimed that no target killing cases were coming forth during last few days in Karachi. He hinted not to remove barricades around the residence of former presidents.

IG Sindh was addressing cheque distribution ceremony organised in central police office Karachi to distribute Rs20 lakhs per family relief cheques amongst families of 23 martyred policemen. Rs1 lakh to Rs12 lakh cheques were awarded to the top performing police officers and personnel.

He announced that salaries of Sindh policemen would be leveled with the salaries of Punjab policemen on March 31, 2015.

Jamali expressed satisfaction over law and order situation of the province and claimed major reduction in the ratio of target killing.

He hinted not to remove barriers around the residency of former presidents Asif Ali Zardari and Pervez Musharraf. He said that the move was followed by clear directives of Sindh government.
