No Threat To Govt From Jahangir Tareen: Shah Mahmood Qureshi

MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has categorically stated that no compromise will be made on Kashmir dispute.

Talking to the media persons in Multan today after inauguration of PM Ramzan Package at Utility stores, he pointed out that there are several UN Security Council’s resolutions on the outstanding dispute which cannot be overlooked.

The Foreign Minister said Pakistan is a peace loving country and it desires good relations with all its neighbours including India. Talking about the visit of Russian Foreign Minister, he said that improvement in bilateral relations were disscused with the Russian counterpart while he apprised that he will soon visit Iran.

He said that discussion with Turkey and Kazikistan on bilateral relations were good but neglecting everything the point was raised that FM (Qureshi) did’nt carry umberala on occasion of arrival of Russian Foriegn Minister at Islamabad Airport.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said action is being taken against seventeen sugar mills and not against Jahangir Tareen only.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi talked to media in Multan and said courts are independent, arguments should be presented before them. The independent candidates had submitted testimonies of not making forward bloc, he said.

The foreign minister stressed that Prime Minister Imran Khan will not be blackmailed by such tactics, those who want to join Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) or Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) may resign.

He said if it is inappropriate for PML-N Vice-president Maryam Nawaz to bring political force with her at court hearings, it is also inapt for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The PM has no intention of taking political revenge against anyone and is standing firmly on his ideology, the FM added.

He said that there is threat to government from Jahangir Tareen.
