Non-Complying Attitude Of Pvt Schools To Be Seen As Court’s Contempt: SHC

KARACHI: Sindh High Court on Monday, barring private schools from charging the parents advance fee of summer vacation announced that it will consider it contempt of court and act accordingly to it if private schools continue with their ‘non-complying’ attitude.

As per details, SHC heard on petitions for court’s contempt against private schools today.

At outset of the hearing, lawyer of the private schools association claimed that the parents of the students involved in the case proceedings are not paying their due fees despite declining fee by 5% as per court’s order.

He added that it is hindering them from work and delaying their official proceedings.
The lawyers representing parents, on this occasion, said that the schools are not handing its students pertaining documents for A-level examinations.

After hearing arguments of both parties in the case, the court ordered the parents to submit the fee of such schools who are issuing fee challans.

“Case will be put off if any variation is observed from onwards. The court does not want the schools to be shut down”, the judge-bench stated.

The court then adjourned hearing of the case till April 22.
