Not Afraid Of Jail As It Is My Second Home: Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday that he was not afraid of being imprisoned and termed jail as its ‘second home’.

Zardari also condemned arrest of Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani.

While addressing a press conference in federal capital Islamabad, Zardari announced that they will accept every court decision as in past.

Aiming at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government, he alleged that isolation on international platforms was increased after charge of current government as compare to the past. He slammed ‘immature’ rulers have never admitted the fact that not a single country can become prosper alone.

The PPP co-chairman said that the federal government mishandled the issue upon arrival of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman by avoiding sending invitation to opposition. “What they did just asking  a Charlie to tweet that opposition is not invited,” he added.

“We accept decision of the Supreme Court regarding review petitions. We have witnessed many cases in past. Jail is my second home; Bilawal is my son and he is also not afraid of jail while we cannot be cornered.”

Answering a question, Zardari said he will accept treason allegation over supporting 18th amendment. He challenged political opponent to file treason case against him instead of corruption cases. He expressed hope that he would get justice in all cases against him. Zardari said that he was lodging protest only against non-provision of basic facilities to nationals and gas bills.
