Not Every Fundamentalist is Terrorist: DG ISPR

Karachi (October 12, 2017): Saying that there are various types of fundamentalism the Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor has said that he too is a fundamentalist.

Addressing the students at the Karachi University, the DG ISPR said that he was happy to come to Karachi University. The Western countries and Indians too are fundamentalist, he added.

However, he continued, neither every fundamentalist is a terrorist nor every terrorist is a fundamentalist.

But when I want everyone else to see the world from my eyes than I would be called a militant and not a fundamentalist, he added.

And when one tries to force others to accept his views then he would be called a violent person or terrorist, Major Gen Asif Ghafoor elaborated.

The DG ISPR also said that there are no hideouts of terrorists in Pakistan.

Addressing the students earlier the Vice Chancellor of Karachi University Professor Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan welcomed DG ISPR and Brigadier Zeeshan at the University.
