ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Asad Umar on Tuesday said Pakistan in its history had never gone through such economic crisis like the country facing nowadays.
Talking with Abbtakk news program “Tonight with Fareeha” Asad Umar said he is optimistic that country’s economic crisis will be over soon.
When asked over the news of changing his portfolio, the finance minister said he was not interested to come in politics and become a federal minister.
Commenting over Tax collection Finance Minister said government reduced around 100 billion taxes on petroleum products.
Commenting over going late to IMF, Asad said that important measures were taken before going to IMF which helped us to get loans on better terms.
“Pakistan generates its 40 per cent tax from imports,” he added.
