CHRISTCHURCH: Ambreen Naeem, the wife of Naeem Rashid and mother of 22-year-old Talha Naeem, who lost their lives in the terror attack on two mosques in New Zealand’s Christchurch, has affirmed that these attacks are not going to stop her from revisiting a mosque.
In an interview with a foreign news channel, Ambreen said that the terror attack is not going to hold her back from performing her worships in mosque.
She stated, “Nothing can stop me from going to mosque, this is what I have learnt from all of this [terrorist attack].”
Recalling the character of her husband, she defined her martyred husband Naeem as a brave and loving man.
When asked about what she found the most favourite thing about her son, Ambreen responded that right from childhood he was a very caring person. She said that her son was an inspiration for other children.
“They [her husband and son] gave up their lives to save other people and this is what Allah wants from us. Its a religion of love and peace”, Ambreen Naeem said.
She added that it was solely her religion which has kept her so strong throughout the entire event.
Expressing her views on the white supremacist who carried out the hate attack, she said, “I feel sad for him. I pity him for not having love in his heart. He had hate and can’t feel the contentment and peace which we can.”
