Islamabad (July 13, 2018): The Election Commission has issued an explanatory notice to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Friday over violation of the code of conduct during his election campaign for NA-53.
According to details, district returning officer of NA-53 Sohail Nasir issuing the notice has summoned Imran Kahn on Sunday to explain continue violation of election commission code of conduct.
“You have breached the code of conduct time and again despite a timely warning by the EC, however, you must appear or submit reply through your counsel over the issue,” the notice stated.
It warned Imran, “Why don’t you would have disqualified from contesting election after the violation of the code of conduct or a reference against you would be sent to the election commission.”
