ISLAMABAD: A number of dengue patients in the capital city of the country have reached 8000 as the dengue epidemic continued its attack on Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences 600 patients were brought to the hospital in the last 24 hours of which more than a hundred confirmed for the disease.
Besides that 99 dengue patients are hospitalized at the Polyclinic hospital of which four all in critical condition. On the other hand, dengue patients are on rising continuously in cities of Punjab including Lahore and Rawalpindi.
According to Dengue Control Programme, more than 131 patients are confirmed for the dengue in the last 24 hours while Rawalpindi is the most hit city for the dengue as 115 persons in Rawalpindi confirmed for dengue.
According to Dengue response Unit, Peshwar as many as 44 fresh cases have reported in the last 24 hours which turned the tally for dengue 5229.
