Islamabad (April 27, 2018): The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has proposed to the government to increase up to 10.6 percent in the prices of various petroleum products for May 2018.
The regulator has recommended an increase of Rs 3.22 per litre in price of petrol, Rs 5.02 per liter high speed diesel, Rs 6.97 per litre superior kerosene oil (SKO) and Rs 6.95 per litre increase in the price of light diesel oil (LDO).Ogra cited soar in dollar prices cause to make increase in POL prices.
Ogra has sent a summary to the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division). Petroleum division would then forward it to the Finance Ministry and Prime Minister’s House for final decision. The government will decide and announce its decision on the prices on Wednesday (today).
