ISLAMABAD: The price of petroleum products are likely to rise again from August 1 as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended an increase in the price of petrol on Friday.
According to a report, the OGRA has forwarded a summary to the Petroleum Division in which it has recommended an increase in the price of petrol.
The reports said that the petrol price is likely to increase by Rs1.71 per litre. However, the price of kerosene is likely to go up by Rs0.35 per liter, while the price of light diesel may be increased by Rs0.24 per liter.
Meanwhile, the OGRA has recommended a decrease in the price of high speed diesel by Rs2.27 per liter.
The final decision on revision in prices of petroleum products will be taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Finance Ministry will announce the new prices after the approval of the prime minister.
