ISLAMABAD: Petroleum Ministry has rejected the summary of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) for increase in gas tariff.
According to a Ministry of Petroleum spokesman, Ogra has been directed to maintain gas prices for consumers of all categories at present level.
As per the directives of Ministry, gas price for industrial and power sector would also remain unchanged.
It is to be mentioned here that Ogra has recommended 14 percent increase in gas tariff on the application of gas companies.
However, the ministry rejected the summary and decided to maintain the current gas tariff for consumers of all categories.
