Opposition Decides Vehement Protest Against Govt’s Mini-Budget in Parliament

ISLAMABAD: Opposition in National Assembly (NA) has decided to vehement protest against government mini-budget.

The Opposition joint parliamentary committees meeting was held in the parliament which was attended by parliamentary leaders of Pakistan People’ Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and Awami National Party (ANP).

The opposition got united regarding the mini-budget and decided to protest in parliament over the matter.

The opposition lawmakers said that the government will face strong resistance if it tried to approve the mini-budget without holding the debate in parliament.

On the other hand, the opposition divided over Federal Minister Faisal Vawda statement as PPP has refused to support the PML-N over the issue while the PML-N and MMA still stick to its demand of resignation from the Minister.

Sources said that the PML-N member Javeed Lateef angered over own party members in joint meeting adding that Nawaz Sharif health is not well and no one has any worry over the matter and asked their party members why they did not set any strategy regarding Nawaz health and his treatment?

The meeting demanded that Faisal Vawda should tender resignation at all cost.

Former interior minister and PML-N senior leader Ahsan Iqbal said that we did not want to forward the case in public as Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chouhan resigned over derogatory remarks against the Hindu religion while Faisal Vawda hurt sentiments of 98 percent of Pakistanis adding that government should not create the problem for itself while extending the matter.
