ISLAMABAD: Opposition parties on Thursday refused to accept Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani’s advice of taking back the no-trust movement against the latter.
Sadiq Sanjrani inked a letter to opposition members, asking them to withdraw their requisition submitted against him.
“According to rules, a requisitioned session cannot include the presentation of a no-trust movement”, it stated.
The decision emerged in a joint opposition meeting at Parliament House headed by Opposition leader in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq.
Total 54 Senators of JUI (F), PML-N, PPP, NP and other Opposition parties participated in the meeting.
The representatives termed the letter of Mr Sanjrani as “against the rules”.
