NA Session Called By Opposition Parties Begins

Islamabad (October 11, 2018): The National Assembly session of opposition parties presiding over by former NA speaker Ayaz Sadiq has started outside the parliament in protest for not summoning parliament session on the opposition requisition to debate the arrest of opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif by National Accountability Bureau.

However, the government has called the session its own on October 17.

The session started with the recitation of Quran by the Murtaza Javed Abbasi while a large number of opposition parliamentarians and PML-N workers are participating in the session.

The security has been beefed up after the intensive sloganeering and aggressive reaction of the PML-N workers outside the parliament.

On the other hand, speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser summoned a session of the Lower House on October 17.

The NA session will begin at 11 am on next Wednesday in the Parliament House.
