ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said opposition should not present the persons who are involved in serious crimes.
In a statement, she said that opposition wanted to get right of speech in parliament, however, at the same time denying the same right of the treasury benches as they don’t have enough patience to hear government members.
“Opposition started hue and cry if parliament session not conducted but when it comes underway they started hue and cry as they have no agenda other than brawl and ruckus,” she alleged.
Special assistant advised opposition to play its real parliamentary role and avoid to turn the house in a wrestling ring. She warned opposition should not make the parliament shield to hide the family corruption and should focus on people issues.
Commenting over the amnesty scheme, she said the purpose of the amnesty scheme is to provide an opportunity to the people for the legalization of their black and grey money.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the step would help reduce inflation besides improving the national economy.
To a question, the special assistant said that those found involved in concealing their accounts abroad would be dealt with iron hands.
