Islamabad (November 08, 2018): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that the government wished to run the parliament jointly with the opposition, however, the opposition wanted to ravage the environment of the House.
He made these views while presiding over a parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
During the meeting, the prime minister informed the parliamentary party members about the government’s policies.
Sources said that Imran Khan informed the party’s cabinet regarding his recent China visit and economic situation.The meeting also reviewed the situation arising in the backdrop of the protests held by the Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP).
On the occasion, PM took the parliamentary party into confidence over his visit to China and country’s economic situation.
Addressing the meeting, PM Imran said that the government wisely controlled the law and order situation, adding that he would have to immediately return from China if the government hadn’t succeeded in defusing the protests.“No one could have imagined the way we have tackled the protests,” he added.
The premier went on to say that PTI wanted to run the parliament jointly with the opposition but the opposition wanted to ruin the environment of the House.
