ISLAMABAD: Firdous Ashiq, Information Adviser to Prime Minister on Wednesday said that the so-called All-Parties Conference (APC) of the opposition was a failed attempt.
Addressing to a press conference in response to the opposition’s APC declaration she said that all the political actors were gathered at one place and the masses were expecting that they will agree upon a single point against the government but the entire APC declaration was revolving around one word that was ‘Corruption’.
Firdous slammed that the entire political stalwarts of the opposition found several flaws in the budget and they were pointing their fingers towards the institutions rather than pointing out their fingers toward the corruption. She said that it would have been better if the opposition should have denounced the corruption within the country.
She said, “Those who are a product of corruption how will denounce it.”
“They claimed the general election rigged one after ten months when they are seeing that the institutions are being empowered and they are being cordoned off the law enforcement agencies for their heinous crimes,” she added.
“The Election Commission was formed by these opposition parties themselves and the elections were conducted by that commission in Sindh where there is the government of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
