Over Nine Million People Marooned Due to Floods in India, Bangladesh

In India and Bangladesh, more than nine million people have been marooned due to heavy rains and floods.

At least 54 people have so far been killed across both South Asian nations.

Monsoon rains in low-lying Bangladesh have triggered catastrophic flooding in the northeastern Sylhet  division, leaving a quarter of its 15 million population stranded amid fast-rising waters and swollen rivers.
