Islamabad (October 6, 2017): The scam of rupees over one trillion has been unearthed in 747-megawatt Combined Guddu Power Plant, which is running by use of gas and diesel simultaneously .
According to details the misappropriation in 745-megawatt power plant caused the loss of over one trillion rupees. Delay in financial closure caused the loss of Rs 39.39 billion, delay in awarding contract caused the loss of Rs 44 billion and operation the plant on high voltage caused the loss of Rs 42 billion.
The report also said that four billion loss incurred for not getting annual energy target and loss of Rs 1.92 billion incurred for amending in awarding contract.
