ISLAMABAD: Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) hears cases filed against the country’s judiciary and functions in accordance with Article 290 of the National Constitution.
Supreme Judicial Council is comprised of five members and the bench is headed by Supreme Court’ss Chief Justice.
Other council members include two senior SC judges and two most senior judges from all provincial high courts.
Currently, the SJC bench is headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa. SC judges Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Azmat Saeed are also part of the bench.
Moreover, Sindh High Court judge Justice Ahmed Ali and Peshawar High Court Judge Justice Waqar Ahmed Sheikh are the other two bench members.
