LAHORE: Punjab Assembly (PA) on Tuesday approved a resolution to award military honors to Pakistan Air Force pilots who shot down two Indian planes.
The PA today’s session started one and half hour late while the session approved as many as five resolutions including awarding military honors to the PAF pilots who shot down the Indian planes.
The member of provincial assembly belonging to Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N) Uzma Bukhari paid rich homage to the Pakistan Air force Pilots who shot down two Indian planes on February 27 just after a day India violating Pakistani airspace dropped pay-load in the area in Balakot damaging nothing but trees.
A resolution for paying homage to former provincial minister Arshad Khan Lodhi was also approved unanimously by the house.
At one occasion the situation in the PA got tense as a member of the government Momina Waheed demanded an apology from another MPA Warris Kulo over the statement he passed yesterday. The government benches conducted sloganeering during the occasion as well.
Provincial Minister for Higher Education Yasir Humyaoon confessed that several educational institutions in the province lacked in basic facilities during the questions and answers session.
Deputy speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari adjourned the session until 11 am tomorrow (Wednesday) after the completion of today’s agenda.
