Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to resolve border disputes through consensus while strengthening of bilateral relations, border management has been declared as indispensable for anti-terrorism and establishment of peace.
According to joint declaration released after Pak-Afghan talks held in Islamabad, both countries have been agreed to resolve the border dispute through mutual understanding.
It was said in the released declaration on eve of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tashkent on 23 and 24th June, Pak, Afghan foreign ministers would hold meeting where border management would be discussed during the meeting.
According to sources, opponents expressed agreement on the matter that border management has been declared as indispensable for anti-terrorism and establishment of peace and strengthening of bilateral relations between both countries.
During meeting Foreign Secretary said while condemening Kabul blasts that Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan thus agreements related to border management should be implemented for the establishment of stability in the region.
However, six member Afghan deligation under leadership of Deputy Foreign Minister Hikmat Khalil Karzai and Pakistani delegation under leadership of Aizaz Chaudhry,Afghan delegation met Foreign Advisor Sartaj Aziz on delegation level talks.
