Pak  Women Win ODI series By Beating West Indies

DUBAI: Pakistan Women chased down a modest target of 160 claim the third and final ODI and win the three-match series 2-1 in Dubai.

Pakistan’s first-ever series win against the West Indies was inspired by Diana Baig and Nashra Sandhu, who claimed three wickets apiece, while Sidra Ameen top-scored with 52.

West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. As a result, the visitors could only score 159 before being bowled out in the 48th over.

West Indian captain SR Raylor scored the only half-century for her team before being dismissed by Baig.

The rest of the West Indies wickets were picked up by Sana Mir, Kainat Imtiaz and Aliya Riaz.

The chase was led from the top by opener Ameen and was helped on by crucial runs from Javeria Khan and Nida Dar. Sana Mir hit the winning boundary in the 48th over to give Pakistan a four-wicket win.
