Pak Women To Face WI Tomorrow In ODI Series Opener

DUBAI: First One-day International between Pakistan Women and West Indies Women will be played in Dubai International Stadium on Thursday (Tomorrow).

The first game of the three-match series will begin at 10:30 am (PKT).

After winning the T20I series which was held in Karachi, Windies will be eyeing to take lead int he series opener of the ODI tomorrow.

The T20I series proved to be a thrilling contest between the two sides. Although the WI won it by 2-1, but Pakistan Women gave tough time in all matches three matches which were played at the Southend Cricket Club Stadium in Karachi.

The first game was won by West Indies with the second one going down to the super over where WI won it by 17 runs. Whereas, Pakistan proved to be dominant over the visitors as they were defeated by 12 runs thanks to the clinical performance of Nida Dar.

Moreover, Former captain of the Pakistan women team and currently number one ranked in ICC’s bowling ranking, Sana Mir became the first Asian woman cricketer and sixth in the world to play hundred T20 International matches.

The 33-year old reached this milestone in the third T20I game against West Indies which Pakistan won by 12 runs in Karachi.
