Pakistan bat against West Indies in 3rd ODI

SHARJAH: Pakistan has won the toss and elected to bat against West Indies in the third and final One-Day of the three matches ODI series.

Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali won the toss and decided to bat first, as Pakistan has comprehensively beaten West Indies in the earlier two matches by batting first. Pakistan has already won the series by 2-0 and today’s match result will have no impact on the series.

West Indies has not yet win a game against Pakistan in UAE in the ongoing series, as Pakistan whitewashed Caribbean side in the T-20 series by 3-0.

Since their 4-1 rout against England last month, Pakistan have raised the bar, winning six consecutive matches: all of them one-sided. Their progress has been built on consistent performances from the top order, apart from captain Azhar Ali. The biggest upshot for Pakistan is their improvement in the ODI rankings as they strive to gain automatic qualification for the 2019 World Cup.
