Pakistan Condemns Indian Atrocities in Occupied Kashmir

Islamabad (May 28, 2017): Adviser to the Prime Minister on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz strongly condemned Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and urged the international community to take notice of homicide of unarmed Kashmiris by the occupied forces.

Aziz called upon the United Nations to stop bloodshed in the occupied valley. He condemned the killing of 12 Kashmiri youths and said India was making false claims about the presence of Daesh in the valley to suppress Kashmiris’s struggle for self-determination.

Aziz said in a statement that India banned social, electronic and print media in the country to stop reports of its brutality from surfacing. India has also resorted to flaring tensions along the Line of Control (LoC) to divert attention from its crimes against Kashmiris, Aziz added. He said that India is continuously violating LoC ceasefire agreements and expressed concerns over targeting of civilian along the LoC.
