Pakistan Cup: Baluchistan defeats Islamabad after thrilling match


After thrilling match,  Baluchistan defeated Islamabad team by three wickets in ongoing tournament of Pakistan Cup played at Iqbal stadium Faisalabad.

The captain of victorious team Azhar Ali 80 runs, Umar Akmal 59 found to be match winning.

Playing first Islamabad team has given a mammoth total of 316 runs target  to Baluchistan. In absence of Misbah Ul Haq, Kamran Akmal as a acting captain of Islamabad had decided to bat first.

Sharjeel Khan bowled out at 13 runs and then Imam Ul Haq who entered the team as replacement of Misbah Ul Haq  joined Umar Akmal as one down position. Both the duo added 157 runs in total. Imam Ul Haq made brilliant 102 runs.

Kamran Akmal scored superbly 134 runs playing 102 balls and his innings included 14 fours and five sixes. Final score of the Islamabad team was 315 runs over loss of 8 wickets. Baluchistan bowler Bilawal Bhathi took three wickets and Usama Mir sent two players to pavilion.

The Baluchistan team in an interesting match just before two balls got the victory after losing seven wickets.

Captain Azhar Ali, 80, Umar Akmal 59, Owais Zia, 45, Ramiz Raja 33 and Baber Azam, 31, played a vital role in the team victory.

Sohail Tanveer who hit winning six scored 26 runs just in 9 balls.
