ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has expressed concerned over Houthi attempt to hit Saudi civilians in the drone attack.

Saudi Arabia’s Royal Air Defense Force on Saturday shot down a Houthi drone that was flying toward Saudi Arabia. Six vehicles and a number of houses were damaged in the attack.

Addressing this issue, foreign office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal has condemned the event and lauded Saudi forces’ ‘abrupt action’ which countered the situation.

He appreciated timely efforts of Royal Air Defense Force of Saudi Arabia who shot down the drone.

It is to be noted that according to the spokesperson of the Saudi-led Arab coalition, Col. Turki Al-Maliki, the drone was targeting civilians in a residential area in the city of Abha.

After examining the debris of the destroyed drone, the coalition said that it showed characteristics and specifications of Iranian manufacturing.

The Spokesman for the Directorate of Civil Defense in Asir Region, Colonel Mohammed Al-Assami, said the fall of the fragments of the drone injured four Saudi nationals, including a woman, and a resident of Indian nationality.
