ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal has said the people and government of Pakistan expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the loss of lives and property caused by heavy rains and flash floods in several provinces.
In a Tweet, he said our hearts go out to the bereaved families.
Meanwhile, in Iran, the death toll from major floods swamping much of the country has risen to twenty-one.

Rescue services say nineteen people were killed and 98 injured in the southern city of Shiraz, while one person died in the western province of Kermanshah and another in Lorestan in the west.
