Amsterdam: Hopes of Pakistan hockey team to qualify for Tokyo Olympic Cup shatters after loosing second qualifier against Netherlands. Meanwhile Netherlands booked it’s place in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
After giving a tough time to Dutch team in first match at Amsterdam, Pakistan failed to deliver in the second match. Holland won the second match and Pakistan went tumbling out of the most prestigious event for the second successive time.
Dutch team were leading the game after half time by 4-0. Two more goals were scored by the hosts in third quarter. Pakistan added their only goal through Rizwan Ali Sr. The last quarter also saw Pakistan missing two easy goal scoring opportunities. Holland thus qualified for Tokyo Olympics 2020, leaving Pakistan behind.
