WASHINGTON: In a tweet, US Special Envoy for Afghan Peace and Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad also appeared to criticise the prime minister’s reported comments that Kabul should set up an interim government.
He said “while Pakistan has made constructive contributions on the Afghan Peace Process, PM Khan’s comments did not”.

“The future of Afghanistan is for Afghans, and only Afghans, to decide.” he added.
Zalmay Khalilzad will start a new trip and will head towards Pakistan, Afghanistan and other countries 0f the region in connection with new round of talks with Taliban.
During the trip which will continue till April 10, he will undertake visit of Belgium, UK, Jordan and Uzbekistan so that international support could be mustered in perspective of ongoing efforts for a peace deal with Taliban in Afghanistan.
