Yasir Shah spins Pakistan to victory in first Test against WI

Yasir Shah and Muhammad Amir led Pakistan to clinch victory against West Indies in first Test of three-match series by seven wickets at Jamaica, Kingston.

Pakistan required only 32 runs, however in the way Pakistan lost three wickets- Azhar Akli 1,  Ahmed Shehzad 6 and Younus Khan 6 – but trusted Babar Azam and captain Misbahul Haq got through Pakistan in first Test.

Earlier, Yasir Shah dismantled West Indian batting line up and wrapped up their innings only at 152 and set the target of 32 runs for Pakistan in first Test at Jamaica.

Yasir Shah took two wickets in first innings and six in second that’s led to award him Man-of-the match.

West Indies started second inning on fifth day with the deficit of 28 runs but Muhammad Amir took early wicket and paved the way for Pakistan to dominate. K Powell’s 49 was the highest individual score while Hetmyer 20, Bisho 18 and Chase not out 16 made some resistance against Pakistani pace and spinner attack.

Yasir Shah ripped through in Caribbean’s batting and took six wickets while Muhammad Amir’s accurate line and length and Muhammad Abbas quick two wickets helped him to wrap up West Indies before lunch.
