LAHORE: Senior batsman Shoiab Malik’s fifty helps Pakistan to beat Bangladesh in the first T20 international of three, match on Friday at Qadafi Stadium Lahore.
Although Pakistan lost Babar Azam when the total score was zero on the board, however the middle order particularly Shoaib Malik stand firm and sealed Pakistan victory.
Shoaib Malik Hit 58 envisaged with five fours while Ahsan Ali made 36 with four fours.
Earlier, Bangladesh opted to bat at the Gaddafi Stadium in the first T20I. Mahmudullah had no hesitation putting Pakistan out in the field; Pakistan lost all three T20Is at this venue against Sri Lanka when they were asked to chase.
Bangladesh have set a target of 142 runs for Pakistan to win the first T-20 of the three-match series.
Muhammad Naeem was the top scorer from Tigers while Tamim Iqbal, and skipper scored 39 and 19 runs respectively.
Pakistani bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Harris Rauf and Shadab Khan each took a single wicket.
