Pakistan ready to defend its borders: Maliha Lodhi

NEW YORK: Pakistan permanent envoy to the UN met the president of the Security Council here and informing him about the danger posed by Indian aggression asked the world community to timely resolve the possible crisis.

During the meeting Maliha Lodhi discussed fuelling of border tension by India. She made clear that Pakistan is ready to respond to Indian aggression and retain sanctity of its borders.

Giving interview to a foreign TV afterwards Maliha Lodhi rejected any surgical strike by Pakistan and that two Pakistan troops were martyred by shelling by India from across the border. India’s warmongering is aimed at diverting world’s attention from atrocities committed by ir in Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan is ready from any possible aggression, she said. The two nuclear states should act responsibly and resolve issues through dialogue, she added.

Maliha Lodhi will meet UN secretary General Ban Ki-moon today and inform him of violations of Line of Control by India.
