New York (November 28, 2018): The Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations (UN), Maleeha Lodhi said that Pakistan foster regional peace, stability and development as well as support the effort against terrorism and extremism.
Addressing a high-level meeting between the UN and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in New York, Maleeha Lodhi said that the increasingly complex and multifaceted challenges facing the world are being further compounded by the pursuit of narrow national interests.
She said that unilateral measures adopted by some states that are undermining an international order, based on dialogue and cooperation.

The Pakistani envoy said that Pakistan has been the primary victim of terrorism and lost much blood and treasure in the campaign against terrorism.
Talking about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, she said the project will benefit not just the two countries but the entire region and beyond.
