Islamabad (April 03, 2018): Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal has urged the international community to pay attention towards resolving conflicts in order to effectively address the menace of extremism and terrorism.
This he stated while addressing a three-day Islamabad International Counter Terrorism Forum in Islamabad today.

Voicing concerns over recent wave of terror unleashed by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir, the interior minister said this will not contribute to bringing peace and stability to the region.
He said responsibility rests with the world community to ensure that the blood and sufferings of any citizen regardless of his faith and ethnicity has equal sanctity. Otherwise, the terrorist outfits will exploit the situation to their advantage.Recounting in detail the efforts put in and sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war on terrorism, he said we carried out Zarb-e- Azb like operations from our own resources to flush out terror outfits. He said it is our national resolve to cleanse any sign of terrorism to achieve the objective of peace and development.He said our sixty thousand people became victim of terrorism but this did not deter the resolve of the nation. The narrative of peace and development is very clear to the nation.
He however said that the war on terror is not over yet and we have to undertake collaborative efforts to achieve decisive victory.The Interior Minister reminded that the country was considered as one of the most dangerous places in the world back in 2013 but today the world publications are declaring Pakistan as an emerging economy in the world.
