Pakistan Vs New Zealand Test: Rain cancels first day play

CHRISTCHURCH: First day play between New Zealand and Pakistan first test at Hagley Oval has been canceled due to continuous rains.

The match was scheduled to start at 2:30 am last night. Downpour continues in the city and umpires will make decision according to the weather situation.

The series between Kivi’s and the green shirts comprise two test matches.

According to statistics of the two teams, both teams have played 53 Test matches against each other, of whom 24 won by Pakistan while Nea Zealand was victorious in 8 and 21 matches were ended with no result.

Playing as guest in New Zealand, Pakistan faced Kivi’s 21 times and the green shirts remained victories  higher than the Kivi’s as Pakistan won 10 matches while Kivi’s took victories in five. While 14 matches ended in draw.

Last series between the duo was held back in 2014 and it was equalized as both teams won one match each and third match ended in draw.
